Yesterday I wrote about the fabulous snowmen sculpted out of styrofoam. If you have snowmen, don’t you have to have snow?
Have you tried using fiberfill batting on trees? It really looks like snow, doesn’t it?
But this project was for national television, so Theresa had bigger ideas in store.
No, that’s not white paint. It’s ‘real’ snow. Well, it’s made from ice, at least.
Yeah, the rest of us were running around like crazy, trying to get everything finished and in place for a 3:30 deadline that afternoon. But producers sledding down a cul de sac hill is what’s known as “Good TV”. (And it’s also probably why any of my shots will wind up edited out, lol.)
The huge ice truck came back when we were ready in the afternoon. It was really a site to see – a huge tube with snow shooting out and transforming green grass into a Winter Wonderland!
I thought it was amazing how the faux snow on the faux trees in back of the faux snowmen looked absolutely real next to the real stuff.
Tomorrow I’ll share my other painting projects!
