I’m just now realizing that printables are a big deal on other blogs and Pinterest. I’m a bit slow.
To be honest, when I see a printable I like, I usually figure I’ll just paint it.
And now you see why my blog has the name it does.
The other day I saw some cute floral tag printables. Hmmm . . . people really like these? Couldn’t I make printables from my paintings? I mean, how hard could it be, right?
*ahem. Ok, so it’s not hard as much as it is time-consuming because I have no idea what I’m doing in Photoshop. I just do what I always do – click lots of buttons and have the fingers on my left hand poised above “control-z” (undo).
But for my first attempt, I think they’re kinda cute. Ok, so the groundhog was really my first ‘printable’ but these are sized to be tags, cupcake toppers and wrappers.
These are from the middle cupcake painting. I’d intended on taking parts of all three. That is, until it took me nearly an hour to figure out the simple background for cupcake wrapper printable.
If you like this pink cupcake series I reproduced them into greeting cards and two sizes of prints, 8 x 10 and 11 x 14. I’m also making more gift items one of these days. If there’s something in particular you’d like, just leave me a comment.
So, if you’re making sweets for your sweetie any time soon, like Valentine’s Day, for instance, you might wanna print some of these cuties. Both the photo and the title underneath will take you to a google document. You can resize how you like. I have them set to the sizes the foodie bloggers use.
If you print these off, let me know how you use them. I’d love to see pics too!
What’s the verdict? Yay or nay for printables from my paintings?
