Here’s the great thing about working with clients – they come up with ideas that stretch me as an artist. I’d never have thought about doing a rectangular wreath.
But I’m always eager to try new things. We went with the colors I used on her Christmas tree. This pic is on my front door – will post another when I hang it on my client’s door.
I started with two square twig frames that we cut apart and wired together into the desired dimensions.
Then I wired on 2 strands of pine garland – on the inner side and outer edge to create more fullness.
Next I applied a full garland with varied pine tips and pinecones.
Then I positioned the large, focal flowers.
Since the chocolate colors are a bit dark, I added some gold ribbon for some light background. I just cut it into strips and weave it in and out.
Then I added the velvet chocolate ribbon. It’s so beautiful in person; pictures just don’t show it well.
I wired in some shatterproof ornaments.
Also added some hot glue to them once they were attached with wire so they’ll hold they’re position.
I found these gold tipped pine branches and cut them apart so I could just use touches of gold.
Then it’s just a matter of adding the finishing touches – berries, twigs. I added the red berries because the client’s door is red.
Different, isn’t it? I love the colors. I’ll post pics of her beautiful Christmas tree later.

Thanks for visiting the other day! I love this wreath – I made my first wreath at Thanksgiving and I was so pleased with it! Your work is beautiful – I’m not a crafty or artsy person at all so I’m always super impressed by people like you!
