I’ve become a big fan of timelapse videos lately . . . of paintings, yes, but especially decorated cookies.
Anyway, I thought I’d give it a try.
Of course, rather than trying my first attempt on something simple, I set my camera up on a tripod and shot the entire painting process of Molly, the German shorthaired pointer who is the centerpiece of the 9 Dog Portrait.
Probably not my best choice, mainly because it took me quite a while to paint her so, therefore, a lot of time editing her as well.
For once, my problem wasn’t with the editing *shock*, it was with the program. It kept crashing on me. Therefore, I recommend that you watch the video with the sound muted . . . unless you want to hear dog barking and music playing at four times the speed.
The whole reason for the video was for me to get more comfortable with the camera. Obviously I need more practice before I shoot video classes because I can’t get the focus right. Not to mention that my right side isn’t my best side. Ugh.
At least you know I’m trying.
Happy Monday!
Colleen
Hey, I thought that was great! Stop being mean to yourself, Colleen! LOL. I can’t paint and I’ve never shot a video, so I am clueless as to mistakes. Without mistakes we learn little. Oh, and by the way, both sides of your face are the good one! We love you just the way you are!!!
